Useful resource! this site allows you to search for passages in the Bible by keyword
using it for some uni work but could be useful for debates and stuff too!

Because once in a while, I see people wanting to play similar games to Ib or The Witch’s House, so I thought I’d share this post from dA.
- Ib :by Kouri. DOWNLOAD
(Pronounced similarly to ‘Eve’) A game about a girl who gets locked in a gallery. Strange things start to occur.
Relatively short. Not too difficult or scary. Developed plot.
- Ao Oni :by nonprops. DOWNLOAD
(English translation: Blue Demon.) About four friends who decide to explore a haunted mansion.
Similar length to Ib. Contains a few jump-scares and puzzles, but nothing too difficult. Focuses less on plot and more on survival-horror.
- The Witch’s House / Majo no Ie :by Fummy. DOWNLOAD
About a girl who goes to explore a house in the woods, led by a cat. The house contains many dark secrets.
Slightly longer than Ib, and considerably scarier. The puzzles are not too difficult, and focus more on reflexes/retries than logic. Not much dialogue, but fairly developed characters.
- Corpse Party :by team GrisGris. DOWNLOAD
About a few students who go to an elementary school that was previously occupied by a school where many murders of staff and pupils occurred. The students are transported into an alternate dimension where they are haunted by the ghosts of the murdered staff and pupils.
PEGI rating 16. Very graphic and contains dead bodies/rape scenes.
- The Mirror Lied :by Free Bird Games. DOWNLOAD
(Shortened to TML) About a little girl who explores an empty house with no visible means of escape. Focuses on open interpretation by the player.
Fairly short and strange. It is very open-ended to allow the player to think about its meaning. Very little plot.
- To the Moon :by Free Bird Games. DOWNLOAD
To the Moon is an indie Adventure RPG, about two doctors traversing through the memories of a dying man to fulfill his last wish. It’s a bit lengthy and sad, but not actually horror related.
It’s not actually free however, it costs $9.99 but should you want to try it out for an hour, the download link leads to that.
- Clock of Atonement :by Daigo. DOWNLOAD
You play as a guy who loved a girl so much to the point of killing her (yep). You are given a ‘Clock of Atonement’ for a chance to repent for what you did.
The game focuses on saving the girl; apart from that the plot is not too developed as far as I have heard. As made obvious by the synopsis, it contains some horror elements.
- Schuld :by Kelven. DOWNLOAD
(Translation: Guilty) About a man who finds himself in a dying world without knowledge of how he got there.
Relatively short. Not too complex, fairly easy puzzles. Contains surreal/psychological horror
- Desert Nightmare :by Kelven. DOWNLOAD
The game follows Sandra Richmont, who was traveling with her parents to visit their uncle. After an argument, her parents appear to have driven off without her. Thinking that her parents plan to stay overnight in the nearest city, Dusty Creek, she heads towards there. However, after meeting two others who are stranded, she realizes that they are trapped and the city has some dark secrets…
The gameplay consists of solving puzzles, adventure game style.
- OFF :by Mortis Ghost. DOWNLOAD
You take control of a mysterious person who is described to be on a mission. You start in zone 0, the first of 4 zones in a world which you gradually learn more about as you play.
It is apparently creepy and does have some pop-up images.
- Yume Nikki :by Kikiyama. DOWNLOAD
(Translation: Dream Diary) About a girl whose life is nothing more than dreams.
Can take a long time to complete. Very difficult and abstract, with little plot. The game is less about storyline and more about interpretation. Not scary as such, but it does have some images and scenes which can be considered disturbing or haunting. Also contains flashy stuff, so epilepsy warning.
Fan games to Yume Nikki HERE.
These are directly copied from the deviantArt post, with a bit edited in information about the games the deviantArt poster didn’t know much about. I apologize if this is long “OTL

I need to rant about this:
Also known as the best writing program ever! It’s a full-screen writing program!
So you open it up, and it looks like this:
You’re thinking, “Ok, so what? It’s a screen with a picture. Whoopdie do.” But it get’s better! It’s customizable!
See that “appearance”? Click it.
You can also use custom fonts that you have installed!
See that “music”? Click it.
If you drag your own music into the folder, like so:
You get this!:
But wait! It gets better!
See “typing sounds”? You can change those too!
Perhaps the best is - YOU CAN USE ANY PICTURE FOR THE BACKGROUND. It will automatically fade it for you!
Seriously, guys, this tool is wonderful. You can use it for:
- Research papers
- Novel writing
- Play writing
- Short stories
- Homework assignments
- Ranting about your friends when they piss you off
- Writing your shopping list
It auto-saves. It exports to .rtf. Hotkeys from Word for italicize, underlining, and bold work. You can print RIGHT FROM THERE.
And the seriously best thing ever?
It fits on a flash drive. The entire thing with added music is maybe 131MBs.
The bestest thing ever.
It’s free.
